Earlier this year I got to draw Author Sandra Cisneros for Chicago Magazine. I love this monthly gig, as it calls for not only portraiture but also some knd of animation for the online version.
Ms. Cisneros writes on Hispanic themes, and she hails from Oaxaca, an area of Mexico renowned for its beautiful embroidered textiles. I decided to use the floral patterns as a jumping off point for the animation!
